The Ministry of Social Solidarity is developing a database that will keep track of all children across Egypt
Together with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Social Solidarity is creating a database that will follow all children in Egypt. The initiative, which is a part of Egypt’s digitization drive, will involve kids, whether they are raised by their parents or in orphanages.
The database aims to defend the rights of Egyptian children who are in need of protection by profiling them, determining their needs, and determining whether they require intervention and what kind. It is a component of the ministry’s alternative care strategy for kids, which was introduced last year.
