THE NEW BASHATEEL RAILWAY STATION IS SET TO BECOME EGYPT’S LARGEST STATION EVER BUILT
The brand-new Bashteel Railway Station is anticipated to surpass all previous stations in size in Egypt. The National Railway Authority, Hassan Allam Holding, and Ministry of Transport are all involved in the project to build the Upper Egyptian station, which will cost an initial EGP 3 billion.
Three sidewalks and four railroad tracks are present at the station, which connects the Aswan-Alexandria-Manashy trains.
An integrated mall-style commercial area will be built into the station, running from the first to the second floors. In addition, there will be administrative offices, 48 ticket booths, restrooms, and a lobby on the ground level that is flanked by four obelisks and a 40-meter-high glass pyramid.
Several workshops, notably the ones for maintaining railroad carriages and tractors, will be blocked off on the first and second floors.
In addition, the Bashteel Railway Station will include two automobile tunnels, a pedestrian tunnel connecting the street to the station’s garage, and a pedestrian tunnel for entering and leaving from Lieutenant General Kamal Amer’s axis.
