The Suez Canal has achieved one million dollars per hour as a total revenue value for the first time in history, breaking all expectations and previous records.
The Managing Director of the Suez Canal Bank, said before that the bank’s net profits increased to EGP 628m in June 2023, compared to EGP 268m in June 2022, achieving a growth rate of 134%.
The Suez Canal officially will go green by 2023 towards moving to a full green transformation and a sustainable development plan to reduce carbon emissions in the shipping sector, and it will run in solar and wind energy and fuel ships with green methanol.
