The Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Osama Rabie, said that The Suez Canal officially will go green by 2023 towards moving to a full green transformation and a sustainable development plan to reduce carbon emissions in the shipping sector.
The Suez Canal will run in solar and wind energy and fuel ships with green methanol, Osama Rabie also explained that the green economy is the future of the global economy, and the Egyptian political leadership will adopt projects based on it such as hosting of COP27 climate conference last year.
