The well-known Lebanese street food chain Barbar has been rocking Beirut since 1979, and it finally opens in New Cairo!
A number of celebrities, including the hottest singers and actors of the 1970s and 1980s, ended up becoming regulars at Barbar’s first chain, which had its humble beginnings as a manouche bakery in front of Beirut’s Piccadilly Theatre. This cultural hub and its associated foot traffic helped to elevate Barbar’s first chain.
Barbar developed into much more than a manouche bakery throughout the following four decades, through the Lebanese Civil War and up until the present. It has now became the unmistakable representation of Lebanese street food.
Although the Barbar menu originally included over 700 options, only roughly 160 of those products will be available in Egypt Classics like their shawarma, falafel, mixed grill, signature sandwiches, and a variety of beverages will be among those offered.
Barbar’s New Cairo location, which is soon to open, is located at the Fifth Settlement across from 5A by the Waterway and immediately adjacent to The Drive. It was created by famous design firm MF and Associates.
