Three new electric train stations have begun operating in the Light Rail Transit (LRT) line linking Cairo and the New Administrative Capital, according to the announcement from the Ministry of Transportation and the railway company RATP Dev Mobility Cairo.
El Robeeki station close to Badr City, Capital Gardens City station, and Capital International Airport station are the three stations that are currently fully operating.
The LRT system connects Adly Mansour station, which is close to the Cairo-Ismailia route, with 10th of Ramadan City and the New Administrative Capital across a distance of 103 kilometres. The train is intended to ease city traffic while enticing Egyptians to literally board an environmentally beneficial mode of transportation.
