The Suez Canal Economic Zone announced the signing of a contract to allocate 30,000 square meters of land to the Japanese Torishima Company to establish a center for the collection, manufacture, supply and maintenance of huge water pumps needed for wastewater treatment, water purification, and water desalination plants.

Torishima cooperation in this field seeks to invest up to $5 million to establish a state-of-the-art service center for large pumps and localize the spare parts industry to serve the domestic market. Within five years, these investments can be increased.
