Uber promised to refund its customers in Egypt after been charged extra 10% fees for paying with their bank cards on Sunday, September 12.
Uber said in a statement that it was a technical glitch while updating its payment systems.
The General Manager of Uber Egypt, Youssef Abouseif, said that the company will refund the money and denied closing its bank accounts in Egypt or terminating its business there.
