Meta is getting ready to launch a new for-pay verification service for users of Instagram and Facebook, following Twitter. Users can become “Meta Verified” status, which comes with a blue badge, better exposure, protection from impersonation, priority customer service, and other perks, for a monthly price of $11.99 on the web and $14.99 on mobile. Users will need to present a government ID during the verification process.
